Druid is one of the twelve final classes that can be selected for a player character upon their second promotion. Only Scholars can advance to this magic-oriented class.
Description
Druids are masters of all self and elemental schools. There is no other class with such a vast command of magic. Grandmastering meditation, they have the ability to cast spell after spell. They rarely have time to use weapons in combat. However, like the Saint, they can play a fair battle tune. Noteworthy is the Druid's ability to become a grandmaster at alchemy and mix those rare, top-level potions from basic ingredients.
Skills
Druids can learn many skills, particularly magic, but not all. In their field of excellence, they are the only class that can reach full potential.
- Grandmaster: Meditation, Alchemy
- Master: Spellcasting, Fire Magic, Air Magic, Water Magic, Earth Magic, Spirit Magic, Mind Magic, Body Magic, Music, Learning
- Expert: Dagger, Staff, Unarmed Combat, Leather, Shield, Dodging, Disarm Trap, Perception, Merchant, Identify Item, Identify Monster
- Normal: Bow, Repair, Armsmaster, Pathfinding
Hit- and spellpoints
The class of Druid gives the character:
- hitpoints = 0 + 3 * level
- spellpoints = 0 + 4 * level
Race provides hit- and spellpoints as well.
Reputation
Druids are liked by Druid civilians, giving the party a reputation bonus if they have one in their midst (+5), and disliked in Murlank (-5).
Promotion
Grand Druid Brigid of the Oak (Goetia) takes care of the promotion to Druid. Candidates are challenged to retrieve the Druid Circlet from Ankka Knox and place it on the altar in Goetia.
