Students are beginners who wish to become good spellcasters. They have decided to walk the path of magic, seeking knowledge before action. Students, as they level up, receive a good amount of spellpoints to cast their spells, but less hitpoints than explorers. Their future choices are to become scholars, acolytes or apprentices, depending on their interests in magic.
- Expert: Spellcasting, Staff, Music, Leather, Shield, Merchant, Learning, Meditation, Identify Item, Identify Monster, Alchemy
- Normal: Bow, Disarm Trap, Perception, Repair
Hit- and spellpoints
The class of Student gives the character:
Race provides hit- and spellpoints as well.
Lord August, the High Seer of Serenity, grants all player characters their first promotion after the party completes the Power Crystals quest. Students will then choose between the intermediate classes of Acolyte, Scholar and Apprentice. This gives access to additional skills - most importantly a variety of magic schools, training, hit- and spellpoints, and better mastery of their skills. Later, they will specialize further by completing a second promotion quest.
