A guild is a shop that sells skills and (if they sell magic skills) spellbooks. A few guilds - the Bounty Hunters Guilds and the Necromancers' Guild - have other, quest-related purposes.
There are many guilds in Karigor, including seven Prime Guilds of Magic that specialize in one magic school. The six Towers of Learning in Soronne, and the Necromancers' Guild in Nannaria, are training halls as well as guilds.
