The name of a player character is chosen when the character is created. It is a primary attribute that does not change during the game. The character's name has no effect on gameplay.
Non-player characters, and unique monsters, also have names. The game is equally unaffected.
In the game, the name of a player character appears on top of the character's portrait on the GUI panel.
Dialogue
In dialogues, citizens may address a player character by their name. This happens, for instance, when the player character takes over a conversation that was started by another member of the party. The citizen will respond with:
- "Yes, Korbu?"
