Player Characters gain experience by completing quests and from killing monsters. When sufficient experience has been gained, they can get training to the next level and thereby acquire extra skillpoints, hitpoints and spellpoints.

Training is given in a Training Hall.

Experience needed to level up (x 1000)

Formula: XP (L) = XP (L-1) + 1,000 * L
where XP (1) = 1,000, L = level, XP = experience points

Each player character starts out at level 1, with 1,000 experience points and 5 skillpoints to distribute at start-up. Added skillpoints per level gained are 5 initially, raised to 6 when training for level 11, 7 starting with level 21, and so on.

Hitpoints and spellpoints

With higher training also come more hitpoints and spellpoints. How many exactly per level, depends on race and class.

Conditions

To be able to receive training, a character must be free of detrimental conditions. It is not necessary to be at maximum hitpoints or spellpoints. Trained characters will leave the training hall fully healed and replenished, but any beneficial spells will have worn off.
