Staff is the combat skill to wield a Staff, a melee weapon. Ogre, Human and Genie Students may begin the game with basic knowledge of this skill. Player characters of most classes can (eventually) learn it, with the exception of the cunning-oriented fighters.

Description

Staves are blunt two-handed pole weapons effective on both offense and defense. At expert rank skill increases Armour Class. Masters have a chance to stun their opponents and grandmasters gain a bonus to their Attack Damage.

Expertise

Mastery of the skill influences its effectiveness. The various effects are cumulative.
