Description
Questgiver
Mekander is a Seer who lives in one of the houses in Serenity town. He will be the party's mentor. At the start of the game he is outside, right in front of the party.
Purpose
This is one of the two parts of the party's mission. They are to gather all the seven chapters of the Book of Ceth, that have been scattered all over Karigor, in order to learn the truth about Thelmes' prophecy.
Walkthru
When August, the High Seer, sends you, talk to Mekander to learn about your mission.
Visit the lords of the lands to get permission to search for the chapters. They will typically demand that you do them a favour first. Once you have their permission, you can enter all the local dungeons and such, although in some cases, the chapter may have been taken to an entirely different part of Karigor.
The lords to visit are:
- Fergie M. Murphy, the Human magistrate of Soronne;
- Midas, king of the Dwarves, in Ryft;
- Jonas de Mehgenac, the Halfling leader in Eftling;
- Uri Hossana, king of the Elves, in Timberfall;
- Taledon X, the divine high priest of the Church of the Sun, in Semiramis;
- Shenandoah, the Human queen of Nannaria;
- Bab'El, the Demoniak ruler of Murlank.
The seven chapters of the Book of Ceth, and their locations, are:
- The Void, Soronne (Service Tunnels), Chapter 1
- The Creators, Ryft (Lake Avernus), Chapter 2
- The Treason, S'Fauni (Eleventh Kingdom), Chapter 3
- The Might, Timberfall (Superior Temple of Mèh), Chapter 4
- The Magic, Circus of the Sun (travelling), Chapter 5
- The Plot, Goetia (Throne of Iblis), Chapter 6
- The Undoing, Ryft (Tuatha's Tel), Chapter 7
Once you have them all, return to Mekander.
