Repair is the miscellaneous skill to fix broken items. Trolls begin the game with basic knowledge of this skill, and Elf Explorers, as well as Ogre, Human and Genie Students, may do so as well. But all player characters can pick up the skill early on.

Description

The Repair skill allows a character to repair broken items. Higher skill level allows them to repair better items. Grandmasters can repair any item. The skill is applied automatically when a broken item is examined, provided the item has been identified.

Technical notes

  • Every item has a repair value, equal to its identification value and ranging from 0 (default: always repaired) to 50, which must be met to repair it.
  • The best repairer among the conscious party members makes the attempt.
