The party is the group of player characters that are managed by the player. They are chosen by the player, and the player takes care of their development from inexperienced greenhorns to trained professionals, so that they may do all kinds of quests and eventually complete their mission.

The player gets to choose a name for the party, which helps to distinguish one attempt at the game from another.
