Monk is one of the twelve final classes that can be selected for a player character upon their second promotion. Only Adventurers can advance to this might-oriented class.

Description

Monks are advanced adventurers who have chosen the path of simplicity, doing away with anything that they don't need. They are grandmasters of unarmed combat and dodging, able to strike often while they are very hard to hit themselves. Expertise in water, earth, mind and body magic further increases their survival skills. With Bards, Monks are the only ones who can learn all the miscellaneous skills, and after a fight they will repair everything that was broken.

Skills

Monks can learn many skills, particularly combat and on-the-road, but not all. In their field of excellence, they are the only class that can reach full potential.

Hit- and spellpoints

The class of Monk gives the character:

Race provides hit- and spellpoints as well.

Reputation

Thieves are liked in Serenity, giving the party a reputation bonus if they have one in their midst (+5), and disliked in Terrax (-5).

Promotion

Brother Tremayne (Serenity) takes care of the promotion to Monk. Candidates are challenged to find out what happened to the Disappearing Monks in the Wine Cellar.
