Learning is the miscellaneous skill to get skilled faster and to write spells on scrolls. Human, Vampire, Elf and Genie Students may begin the game with basic knowledge of this skill. Most player characters can (eventually) learn it, with the exception of the top might-oriented classes.

Description

The Learning skill increases the number of skillpoints a character receives with every increase in level. In addition, the character learns to write spell scrolls. Eventually, all spells that are available to the party may be written on scrolls.

Technical notes

  • The power of scrolls written by player characters is the same as that of scrolls otherwise obtained.

Expertise

Mastery of the skill influences its effectiveness. The various effects are cumulative.
