There are many locations in Karigor that offer a boost to the player characters' attributes. These opportunities come in the form of wells, pedestals, tests, and other objects. Some of these attribute boosts are temporary, but others are permanent. Like equipment and experience, they are a main course to turn a vulnerable, whimpy player character into an almost invincible hero.


Types of boost

boost type gain
Throne Permanently +10 to all statistics and resistances for player characters of a certain race on a specific day of the week
Well Permanently +2 to one statistic, if current value is less than 15; 8 charges, respawns
Temporarily +30 to one or two statistics
Temporarily +10 or +30 levels
Special effects (Well of Contribution, Well of Wisdom, Well of Wonders, Wishing Well)
Fountain Temporarily +10 to one statistic, +25 to all, or +50 to luck
Temporarily +30 to elemental, self or path resistances, or +20 to all
Temporarily +20 or +50 to armour class
Replenishes 5, 20 or 50 hit- or spellpoints; 50 charges, recharges
Special effects (Fountain of Destiny, Fountain of Youth)
(Central Fountain) Town Portal to a choice of destinations
Challenge +3, +5, +7 or +10 skillpoints if the player character wins the game, contest, test or challenge in one statistic
+50 skillpoints if the character wins the trial in all statistics
Flame Short-time +20 to one resistance
Short-time spell effect (various)
Barrel Permanently +2 to one statistic; single charge, respawns
Cauldron Permanently +2 to one resistance; single charge, respawns
Horseshoe +2 skillpoints when swallowed
