Axe is the combat skill to wield an Axe, a melee weapon. Ogre and Troll Explorers may begin the game with basic knowledge of this skill. Other might-oriented characters can pick up the skill quickly enough, but player characters of the magic-oriented classes are unable to learn it.

Description

While rather slow on the attack, axes do a lot of damage when they hit. Expert axe fighters gain a little more speed on their attacks while masters can deliver extra damage. Axe grandmasters gain a chance of ruining their opponent's armour, making them more vulnerable.

Technical notes

  • Ruined armour stays ruined unless the party leaves the map.
