Assassin is one of the twelve final classes that can be selected for a player character upon their second promotion. Only Agents can advance to this might-oriented class.
Description
Assassins are born for one thing: to seek out and terminate a single enemy. All their skills are tuned to this task. Daggers are their weapon of choice, but with grandmastery in armsmaster they can use other weapons as well with great effectiveness, if the occasion requires it. Expertise in air, mind and dark magic may come in handy as well. Nonetheless, they will not shy away from an open fight and do damage where they can.
Skills
Assassins can learn many skills, particularly combat skills, but not all. In their field of excellence, they are the only class that can reach full potential.
- Grandmaster: Dagger, Armsmaster
- Master: Sword, Axe, Spear, Mace, Bow, Unarmed Combat, Leather, Dodging, Disarm Trap, Bodybuilding, Stealing
- Expert: Spellcasting, Air Magic, Mind Magic, Dark Magic, Chain, Plate, Shield, Perception, Learning, Identify Item, Repair, Alchemy, Pathfinding
- Normal: Music, Merchant, Meditation
Hit- and spellpoints
The class of Assassin gives the character:
- hitpoints = 0 + 5 * level
- spellpoints = 0 + 2 * level
Race provides hit- and spellpoints as well.
Reputation
Assassins are liked by the Church of Meh, giving the party a reputation bonus if they have one in their midst (+5), and disliked in Serenity (-5).
Promotion
Banker Christie Goldfinger (Typhon Expanse) takes care of the promotion to Assassin. Candidates are challenged to assassinate strange character named O in the Snake Pit.
