I really think I didn't make it too hard to discover the code, but here is the solution explained to the simpler minded. Listen to the trees!

"The first is half the fourth plus one, better hurry or you'll be done!" "The second is next to the third, oh so pretty like a bird!" "The third is the first of twenty six, A through Z you'll have to mix!" "The forth is eight from the end, Archibald really is your friend!" "The fifth is twice the second, five letters in all I reckon!"

Arrange these clues in the order of 3,2,5,1,4 and this is what you find:
